POSITION:         Training and Education Coordinator

Status:                 Full time hourly

Reports to:           Program Manager

 

 

Job Summary

 

The Training and Education Coordinator will be responsible for the development and coordination of agency and community education activities; including sexual and domestic violence prevention, workplace, bystander and bullying intervention and prevention strategies.

  • Ability to relate effectively with professionals, the business community and agency contractors and clients
  • Ability to address crises and problem-solve effectively
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as independently
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage and meet deadlines
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to the cultures represented in Placer County
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Computer skills to include the creation of such documents as spreadsheets, annual reports, charts, and measurement outcomes (i.e. surveys), etc.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Develop and administer presentations on domestic violence/sexual assault prevention for service clubs, community groups, civic organizations, businesses and the faith community
  • Coordinate agency outreach
  • Prepare monthly reports on grant objectives and ensure grant compliance
  • Plan and implement 2 Crisis Intervention training sessions per fiscal year
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other organizations, professionals, contractors, agency volunteers, staff  to adhere to and ensure support of the agency’s mission, vision and philosophy
  • Exercise political acumen when dealing with other organizations, professional, contractors and volunteers
  • Maintain confidentiality related to program offerings
  • Supervision of teen educator/volunteer coordinator
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned to ensure the effective operation of PEACE

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, human services, education or related field or at least 5 years experience in related field

 

Additional Requirements:

 

  • Reliable transportation, valid California Drivers License and proof of insurance
  • Ability to lift supplies up to 10 lbs. to waist height
  • Fingerprint clearance required
  • Completion of Crisis Intervention Training (post hire requirement)
