President- Dennis Arzaga
Dennis has had a varied and interesting public sector Human Resources/Personnel career since graduating from California State University, Chico where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration. Dennis also earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University concurrent with his first HR position as a Personnel Analyst with Solano County.
Over his 30 + HR/Personnel career, Dennis held positions ranging from entry level recruitment and selection analyst to Employment Manager with the City of Eugene, Or., and as the Personnel Director and Department Head with the City of Folsom for 10 + years. Since retiring, Dennis continued his HR/Personnel career working as a recruitment and selection analyst with the City of West Sacramento and with the Contra Costa Community College District; as a classification/compensation analyst for Placer County and as a consultant with Cooperative Personnel Services Agency reviewing State of California HR classification and compensation issues. Dennis also has extensive HR and management training and teaching experience with his past employers and with Sierra College as an Adjunct Instructor.
Dennis has been involved with Active Job Seekers of America (AJSA) – Roseville Chapter since December, 2010. Through his involvement with the group, he has expanded his network of professionals, learned a great deal about seeking employment in the protracted economically adverse environment. In addition to seeking employment, Dennis continues to attend the weekly AJSA Roseville meetings to expand his network of contacts through the exposure to AJSA.
Dennis lives in Auburn. His hobbies include hanging with good friends and family, reading the sports page and good novels, fly fishing, officiating high school and community college football and umpiring girls fast pitch high school/ASA softball.
