One Response to Active Job Seekers of America: Month of August 2011

  1. Susan Buki says:

The JobSeekers group of Roseville has helped me focus on a specific approach to follow in my job search. I first attended a meeting last November, not really sure where to start. I was told about Ken Mandler’s workshop “How to get a job with the State” from a member, Eric. I decided that was something I wanted to dedicate my effort to for up to one year. So far, after about 8 months I have had 5 interviews with different departments within the state. I feel ready to pursue other consulting and analyst positions in the private sector starting September, if I do not get an offer by then. The JobSeeker group provided great speakers and support in pursuing a job. It can be very challenging to be looking for work, especially in this market. I am very grateful for the friends I have made along the way who give me the confidence to be persistent. It is also good to see so many Alumni members who have successfully achieved their goal.
